My daughter asked me to do a series of shoes to make her college apartment look cool.  She asked if I could do them in a kind of ‘50's fashion drawing style.  So like an obedient father I went into my studio and got to work and before I was finished, word had gotten out about "‘the shoes" and orders were coming in.  This is one of the things I love about painting -- you do something that seems a little crazy and enjoy doing it and before you know it everyone else is loving it too and the whole thing just snowballs. -About Simon Bull
