“I love the beautiful old oak trees that grow here in California, their flowing forms transforming them into pieces of natural sculpture. In the winter months they stand out against the darkness of the woodlands, with their light colored trunks and this gives them a special stark gracefulness. Often when out hiking two trees will meet overhead forming an archway or tunnel through which the trail leads, and sometimes in the distance the early sun or full moon can just be made out through the mists.” - About Artist Simon Bull
