Bamburgh is a small village with a large castle on the Northumberland coast near the border between England and Scotland.  Bamburgh Castle, on the edge of the sea is probably the finest castle in England.  This cottage window in the village, dated 1692, predates the first major rebuilding of the castle in the 1750s.
